Digital Marketing Manager - Wigan

Following recent investment in a new digital footprint, it’s an exciting time to join NRL’s Marketing team. As the Group embarks on it’s new strategic cycle, you’ll play a pivotal role by taking ownership of the digital strategy – working with challenging and diverse sectors across multiple brands.

To be successful in the role you’ll have a detail orientated and data-driven approach to marketing, with experience working across a wide range of digital communication channels to drive user experience and conversion.

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Devise, plan, execute, test and report the Group digital strategy with accountability for ROI

  • Manage and develop our online presence, systems, and tools (including job boards) to support the company strategy and objectives, drive traffic and increase conversion

  • Develop revenue generating digital candidate attraction campaigns

  • Develop and implement a superior online user experience and journey based on insight and industry best practice

  • Manage, develop and measure relationships with external agencies

  • Develop online appropriate content and collaborate with the wider team on the content strategy

  • Create, manage and deliver localised branch specific digital marketing campaigns including full reporting

  • Develop and manage an integrated email direct marketing strategy and content including managing the mail platform, reporting and refinement

  • Evaluate, analyse and report on online activity and use results to inform online development

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the NRL brand, culture and values and ensure these are effectively showcased online

  • Work with the wider Marketing team to ensure alignment and integration between all offline, digital and social activity

  • Use comprehensive data analysis to drive tactical and strategic contributions to all team output

  • Monthly and annual reporting against conversion targets, KPIs, goals ROI and objectives

  • Regular competitor performance and content monitoring and analysis

Essential qualities:

  • Graduate 2:1 upwards, with extensive online marketing pedigree (3-5 yrs+) and evidence of working in a fully integrated Marketing team

  • Proven ownership of end-to-end integrated online campaigns including ideas, planning, execution, testing and attribution reporting

  • Excellent working knowledge of SEO best practice, paid strategies, email marketing and UX

  • Self-motivated, keen to test and apply new approaches with a focus on continual improvement

  • Creative and commercial approach to projects supported by sound task planning and management

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail whilst working to time constraints and under pressure

  • Exemplifies the company values

  • Confident, credible and professional with an emphasis on collaborative working – both in the Marketing team and the wider business

  • Design interest and capability a distinct advantage

  • Recruitment or sector specific experience desirable but not essential
