NRL are currently recruiting for an Electrical Fitter for work based in Plymouth 

The role will be based on the Dockyard on the Warships contract and will require Clearance to be implemented. Start date first week of January 2021. Successful candidates must complete security paperwork and apply for DBS check. Starts are expected Initial 6 month contracts on offer.
The Travelling rates are £21.50 Ltd. This rate is an increased rate from the local workers to cover accommodation etc. There will be no extra entitlement.
Local workers (within 35 miles of site) - rates vary depending on whether you will go PAYE or Ltd. Please enquire for breakdown.

You’ll overhaul and install a variety of electrical equipment that could include distribution, command and control systems, such as weapons, navigation and communications. You’ll also work to electrical/engineering drawing and technical specifications as you install and connect a variety of cabling, plus carry out system and equipment functional tests.

What do I need to do the role?
You’ll have the ability to read electrical and engineering drawings to interpret work instructions and be competent in the use of general workshop machinery specific to electrical fitting.
Ideally will have worked in the marine industry with experience of Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels or large commercial ships. Other relevant experience will be considered.
You’ll need to hold qualifications in at least one of the following:
• Indentured Apprenticeship
• Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an electrical discipline
• Armed Forces PO/CPO/NCO with electrical specialisation
• Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification
