You’ll overhaul and install a variety of electrical equipment that could include distribution, command and control systems, such as weapons, navigation and communications. You’ll also work to electrical/engineering drawing and technical specifications as you install and connect a variety of cabling, plus carry out system and equipment functional tests.

You’ll have the ability to read electrical and engineering drawings to interpret work instructions and be competent in the use of general workshop machinery specific to electrical fitting.
Ideally will have worked in the marine industry with experience of Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels or large commercial ships. Other relevant experience will be considered.
You’ll need to hold qualifications in at least one of the following:
- Indentured Apprenticeship
- Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an electrical discipline
- Armed Forces PO/CPO/NCO with electrical specialisation
- Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification
