Electrical Project Engineers - Building services - Gateshead

NRL is working with a leading national Building services contractor seeking highly driven Electrical Project Engineers (all levels) for major capital projects within the North East region

About the role:
  • To deliver the electrical engineering elements of Building Services contracts within the commercial and light industrial sectors
  • The operational engineering, management/supervision and performance of the electrical discipline of the project, including suppliers, subcontractors and labour
  • Ensure that all activities meet the safety, programme, commissioning, financial and quality objectives of the project.
  • This role will encompass the technical and commercial management of resources, subcontractors, plant, equipment and material
  • Work alongside the design team taking the schemes through to construction and commissioning
  • Attend meetings with clients and third parties
  • Creation of technical documentation and reports
What you will need:
  • You will have held a similar electrical role for a minimum of 3 years with a recognised building services contractor, ideally up to £2 million
  • Have a working knowledge of the most up-to-date electrical guidelines, standards and regulations relating to your discipline
  • Must have experience of seeing electrical building services projects through all stages from client specification, tender, estimating, design, procurement, construction to commissioning
  • Must have proven experience of developing the electrical programme and preparing the cost plans
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, be solutions focused, ambitious and interested in developing your career
  • Must have a minimum of HNC within Electrical Engineering and hold SMSTS
  • Be based in the North East region is essential
