  • Verifying electrical installations including cable containment, cabling, terminations, earthing, bonding, and testing activities (continuity, insulation resistance, functional testing).
  • Inspecting panels, switchboards, MCCs, and instrumentation installations including loop checks.
  • Reviewing and verifying documentation such as ITPs, LTRs, quality plans, inspection records, and electrical test sheets.
  • Coordinating electrical work packs and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Recording inspection findings, producing detailed reports, and communicating outcomes to engineering and quality teams.
  • Supporting the management of non-conformances, corrective actions, and surveillance activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and site regulations and procedures.
  • Liaising with contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent electrical quality expectations.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of quality documentation for lifetime records compliance.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in electrical inspection or electrical QA/QC within a regulated or high-integrity environment.
  • Electrical Engineering or E&I qualification (HNC preferred) or relevant equivalent background.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and inspection/testing techniques.
  • Experience with ITPs, LTRs, quality plans, NCRs, and associated QA documentation.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification (advantageous).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
  • Knowledge of electrical industry standards (e.g., BS 7671, IEC standards) is desirable.

  • Opportunity to work on a major, long-term nuclear framework with a highly regarded client.
  • Excellent hourly rate and long-term stability (12 months+).
  • Engaging and varied electrical QA/QC scope within a specialist sector.
