Job Title: Electrician

Location: Heysham Power Station

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Electrician for 1st and 2nd fix installations at Heysham Power Station. The role involves installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include running conduit, wiring, fitting socket outlets, switches, lighting, and other power systems, ensuring all work meets regulations and project deadlines. Experience in industrial environments, particularly power stations, is preferred. Although this is desirable, this is not a necessity as we are looking for hardworking and talented individuals looking to gain valuable experience as an electrician.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • JIB Gold card.
  • Experience in 1st & 2nd fix electrical work.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • CTC clearance or SC clearance preferred
  • Approved status Preferred

To gain access to Nuclear sites you need to have CTC clearance, candidates without clearance will need to have it processed by NRL before their start date. This requires completing a DBS application and providing the previous 3 years of your employment history. We have a dedicated team of nuclear vetting consultants that will guide you through this process.
 
A pre contract drug and alcohol test will also be conducted before the job commences.
