About the Role:
- The estimator will be responsible for pricing up mechanical building services packages up to £2 million within the commercial and light industrial sectors
- Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries
- Producing bills of quantities
- Risk and value management
- To help continue the company’s growth the estimator will work on a range of building services projects and contribute to their success
- The estimator will have a continuous workflow supported by the company’s diverse client base and healthy book order
- Valuable experience working as a mechanical building estimator for a national or regional building services contractor on projects valued similar to the values mentioned above
- Understands the winning side of estimating
- Ideally has a network of supply chain to prepare the estimates
- The role would also suit a Project Engineer who can perform “take offs” of mechanical building services
- Must come from a construction background and have industry knowledge
- The Successful applicants will have an innovative approach to work and will be motivated to contribute to the growth of the company
- To be computer literate and high attention to detail
- Ideally live in the Tyne & Wear or Co. Durham area
