Mechanical Building Services Estimator – Tyne & Wear  

A specialist Building Services Company which is committed to providing innovation, efficiency and excellence has an exciting new opportunity for an Estimator to join their business.

About the Role:  
  • The estimator will be responsible for pricing up mechanical building services  packages up to £2 million within the commercial and light industrial sectors 
  • Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries  
  • Producing bills of quantities  
  • Risk and value management  
  • To help continue the company’s growth the estimator will work on a range of building services projects and contribute to their success   
  • The estimator will have a continuous workflow supported by the company’s diverse client base and healthy book order  
 What you will need:  
  • Valuable experience working as a mechanical building estimator for a national or regional building services contractor on projects valued similar to the values mentioned above
  • Understands the winning side of estimating
  • Ideally has a network of supply chain to prepare the estimates
  • The role would also suit a Project Engineer who can perform “take offs” of mechanical building services
  • Must come from a construction background and have industry knowledge   
  • The Successful applicants will have an innovative approach to work and will be motivated to contribute to the growth of the company  
  • To be computer literate and high attention to detail 
  • Ideally live in the Tyne & Wear or Co. Durham area
