NRL are currently recruiting for Geotechnical Engineers on behalf of a major infrastructure support service provider in the UK.

These roles can be worked from home remotely as no site presence is required.

 

About the Role;
  • Undertake a wide range of geotechnical design work, fully compliant with Eurocode 7
  • Scope, plan and manage effective ground investigations to facilitate all project design requirements
  • Assist in the development and supervision of project team members
  • Represent the ground engineering team on multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Review and approve feasibility studies, outline designs and detailed designs, factual and interpretive reports, geotechnical appraisals and other technical documents as required
  • Produce and review geotechnical certification documents in accordance with CD 622
  • Development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Client and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
  • Mentoring Geotechnical Technicians and Assistant Engineers.
  • Role is inside IR35 therefore PAYE or Umbrella PAYE
 

What you will need
  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a Geotechnical/Geological Science
  • Approaching or recently Chartered (CEng/CGeol or equivalent)
  • Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS office suite and geotechnical design software
  • Previous experience on highways schemes
  • Good experience of the co-ordination of the design process and team management
  • Broad experience in ground investigation and geotechnical design
  • Good communication skills dealing with clients, project partners and supply chain
  • Client focused approach to service delivery
