NRL are currently recruiting for a Document Control Manager to work with a client of ours on a 9-month contract, based in London Bridge.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver tour client’s document management system and associate electronic document management systems (IMS & EDMS).
Administer all aspects of the company Integrated Management System (IMS).
Be responsible for managing large volumes of incoming and outgoing records;
Liaise with functional teams to maintain suitable document control systems, procedures and standards, including generation of templates etc;
Develop and maintain all aspects of document control procedures, systems and plans processes including scanning, indexing, file uploading and transferring, archiving, retention and disposal arrangements;
Issue controlled copies of documents to different internal and external stakeholders, managing all elements of associated workflows;
Maintaining drawing registers and other critical technical and safety-related records;
Collate requirements for external standards documentation and undertake purchasing etc. requirements as appropriate;
Co-operate with our client in all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times;
Act as a role model for our client’s vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with our client’s Ways of Working, encouraging and supporting others to do so in addition;
Promote diversity in the workplace and adopt appropriate behaviours when interacting with colleagues; and
Support our client’s commitment to customer service and the customer journey.
Role Requirements:
Excellent IT literacy, verbal and written communications skills;
Experience of document management in complex organisations liaising with a diverse range of departments and organisations;
Experience on client-side of a major infrastructure project would be an asset;
Experience and sound knowledge of Aconex, SharePoint and Office 365;
Knowledge of ProjectWise would be an asset, but not essential;
Working knowledge of other propriety document control/EDMS;
Excellent relationship management, people skills and presentation skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team;
Strong attention to detail; and
UK rail industry and/or capital programme knowledge and experience is an advantage
Will need to have the right to work in the UK.
HND or foundation degree level, in any discipline
