About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our clients team and take ownership of commissioning activities across a high-profile – BEP Project. This role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of commissioning phases, with a strong emphasis on leadership and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety across all aspects of the project, promoting a zero-harm culture.
- Lead, organise and manage a team of Commissioning Engineers, Technicians and support resources.
- Oversee all testing activities throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
- Supervise the creation and execution of commissioning test documentation.
- Initiate and implement Field Observation Bulletins (FOBs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Liaise with regulatory compliance representatives to ensure timely witnessing of commissioning activities.
- Manage and record Temporary Commissioning Aids and supporting test data.
- Utilise completions management systems for commissioning activities and handovers.
- Schedule and manage work in alignment with project timelines.
- Participate in multi-discipline design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure progress meets schedule deadlines.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Time-served or equivalent in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical).
- HNC or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
- Proven project commissioning experience.
- Experience with process commissioning, including vessels and pumps.
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS card holder.
