NRL are proud to be working for a leading business within the world of Offshore Renewables..

They are now looking to add to their Planning team with a Lead Project Planner.


Role Purpose:
The planning of projects via Primavera, ensuring that the project reporting is carried out in such a manner as to accurately reflect the current status of the projects, and that the necessary plans and reports are prepared for submission to Management and to Clients. To support and work with the Project Managers and wider functions, communicating effectively on project risks, constraints and opportunities, by carrying out scenario modelling.

Main responsibilities of the role:
Responsibilities of Lead Project Planner, and accountability for Project Planner performance and compliance, plus:
o Overall accountability for accurate and comprehensive Project Planning, Tendering Planning and Production Planning
o Overall responsibility and accountability for management and co-ordination of all contributing planning input data and schedule risks
o Co-ordination of all stakeholders to deliver effective and compliant project planning
o Maintaining accurate governance of data and records compliant with defined work procedures, by self and reporting staff
o Presentation of High level project status’ and mitigation actions to stakeholders
o In addition to the above responsibilities, the role holder is required to undertake such duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required from time to time
o Supervise the Project Planners ensuring they are all working to Project Planning Procedures & Project Deliverables
o Continuous improvement of the Planning department including development of Planning procedures and work instruction

To have read, understood and comply with the company Health and Safety manual, policies and procedures and to implement these, at all times, to ensure both your own safety and the safety of those who may be affected by your actions or omissions.

Essential
o Significant planning experience, including experience in preparation of detailed project plans
o Proven experience of leading a planning team/department
o You must be an expert user in Primavera P6
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to work in a team environment, to teach and coach others in the awareness of planning techniques and software.
o Ability to work in a fast paced environment, often to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and precision
o Highly organised, capable of managing own workload and ensuring that all deadlines are met
o Confident decision maker, comfortable at applying own judgement when appropriate
o Ability to resolve simple and complex issues


Desirable
o Background in the Oil and Gas, renewable energy industry would be beneficial
