Material Control Supervisor – Nuclear New Build   

About the Role:
We’re currently seeking an experienced Material Control Supervisor to join the team on a major nuclear new build project in Bridgwater. This is a key site-based role responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials across the project site alongside managing a team of staff.                             

Location: Bridgwater (Site based role) 
Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 dependant on experience (PAYE)
Hours: 10 hour Day shift - (5 on, 2 off) 
Additional: Some weekend cover required
Contract: 2 years initially, with high likelihood of extension 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee goods-in operations, ensuring materials are received, checked, and recorded accurately.
  • Manage the storage, movement, and delivery of materials and equipment across the site.
  • Supervise and coordinate teams of storekeepers, drivers, and material handlers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and material control systems, ensuring trace-ability and compliance with nuclear site standards.
  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure HSE compliance and adherence to site procedures for material handling and storage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the material control function.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in material control, stores, or logistics supervision within a construction or industrial environment (nuclear, energy, or large infrastructure preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory systems, warehousing, and logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
