Role Responsibilities:
- Review and accept mechanical & piping engineering deliverables (calculations, specifications drawings etc) from the design contractor on behalf of our client
- Take ownership of the LPS project mechanical & piping engineering activities and provide discipline expertise to the Project Manager
- Assist the Project Manager in ensuring design contractor mechanical design is delivered on time and is complete
- Be an active participant in the our client’s project team in the delivery of the LPS rationalisation project to time and budget
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and all other regulations that apply to mechanical & piping discipline responsibilities
- Help the Project Manager plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Have understanding of working with PDMS or other 3D design software to assist in the management of design contractor design scope
- Have working knowledge of AutoCAD to assist in the management of design contractor design scope
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Role Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong track record of delivery of complex technical projects and services
- Strong track record in design, particularly detail design
- Experience of work on brownfield and aging assets
- Familiar with working to design codes and industry standards applicable to the energy sector (eg ASME, API, EN, British Standards, etc)
- Experience of regulatory requirements of Pressure Systems design and installation
- A full UK driving licence
