NRL is recruiting Mechanical Estimators for a leading contractor in the Sustainable Energy Sector. Our Client is a unique and innovative solutions provider working in Green Energy and Energy Performance. Due to recent government initiatives surrounding decarbonisation, they are looking to add to their team.
Duties will include:
- Prepare and issue enquiries for major plant & equipment and sub-contract packages. Commercially and negotiate price and terms with vendors. Issue resultant purchase orders
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and/or Invoices, obtain payment certificates and progress client payments in accordance with contractual provisions
- Measure, submit and agree variations, loss & expense and/or compensation events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of final accounts
- Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries
- Producing bills of quantities
- Risk and value management
- This is an office-based role
- Have held a similar post for at least 5 years
- Valuable experience working as a mechanical building estimator for a national or regional building services contractor on projects valued similar to the values mentioned above
- Must come from a construction background and have industry knowledge
- The Successful applicants will have an innovative approach to work and will be motivated to contribute to the growth of the company
- Computer literate, with property costing software experience
- To be able to work with minimum supervision
- Must re-side in the north-west of England, be prepared to be office based and be flexible to travel to sites in Southern England if needed
