💷 Contract: Temporary (Outage Support)
💷 Rates Of Pay: £24.83 P/H Basic (including Holiday Pay). Enhanced rates available for overtime, nights and weekend work.
Role Overview: We are currently recruiting an experienced CTC Cleared Mechanical Fitter to support outage works at Heysham 1 Power Station. The candidate will be involved in mechanical maintenance, inspection, and overhaul activities on turbine and auxiliary systems to ensure safe and efficient plant performance during the outage period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks on turbines and associated plant equipment
- Support strip-down, inspection, and rebuild of turbine components
- Work to planned maintenance schedules and outage scopes
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures and quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain progress
- Complete relevant documentation and reports
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a power generation, turbine, or heavy industrial environment
- Turbine experience is essential
- CTC clearance (Essential)
- Strong understanding of safety standards and permit-to-work systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
