Mechanical Project Engineers - Building services - Yorkshire

NRL is working with a leading national Building services contractor seeking highly driven Mechanical  Project Engineers (all levels) for major capital projects within the Yorkshire region

About the role:
  • To deliver the mechanical engineering elements of Building Services contracts within the commercial and light industrial sectors
  • The operational engineering, management/supervision and performance of the mechanical discipline of the project, including suppliers, subcontractors and labour
  • Ensure that all activities meet the safety, programme, commissioning, financial and quality objectives of the project.
  • This role will encompass the technical and commercial management of resources, subcontractors, plant, equipment and material
  • Work alongside the design team taking the schemes through to construction and commissioning
  • Attend meetings with clients and third parties
  • Creation of technical documentation and reports
What you will need:
  •  Ensure areas of responsibility allocated to you by the Project Manager are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards
  • Identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are put in place.
  • Effectively manage sub-contractors as well as team performance on the project by ensuring everyone reporting to you has clear roles and responsibilities
  • Support the project manager to ensure the project budget and costs are managed effectively for all services
  • Design management – attendance at design team meetings
  • Commissioning and final handover take responsibility for activities allocated to you to ensure this is done effectively
  • Be based in the Yorkshire region is essential
