Our Client are a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Northumberland, with a 40 year manufacturing record on the same site. We are a contract intermediate and API pharmaceutical serving UK and international markets.

We require a highly motivated contract draughtsman to assist with an increase in our project workload. The projects we are involved with are fast track, high demand projects.

The successful applicant will be well versed in AutoCAD (Release 2005 or greater is a preference) and have the following:

A recognised time served engineering apprenticeship or

Qualifications, HNC standard or equivalent.

Ability to use AutoCAD (versions up to 2017, primarily 2005).

Ability to produce Pipework Isometrics from a P&ID. The candidate will be expected to ascertain a pipework route on site, measure the route and pictorially represent the route and associated pipework in isometric format, with full bill of material.

Ability to site check, mark-up and amend P&IDs.

Ability to produce pipework general arrangements, both single and double line representation.

Ability to create building and mechanical arrangement and layout drawings.

Preferably a pharmaceutical background, with knowledge of working to pharmaceutical quality standards.

Knowledge of Engineering Document Management systems and their use within a busy engineering department.

Have the ability to work as part of a fast paced team.

Knowledge of polymer lined pipework is a distinct advantage.

Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ability to work unsupervised on a pharmaceutical plant.

Awareness of safety related issues in pharmaceutical / chemical plant environment.

Knowledge of basic steelwork design is a preference.
