Brief Role Description
Installation of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) HV equipment up to 400Kv, works may also include Installation of AIS Equipment.
- Hours of work and shift pattern - Monday to Friday, 50 Hours
- Worker Base Location - Fort Augustus, Fort Augustus 400/275/132kV Substation, Auchterawe Road, PH32 4BT
- Experience required (certification etc.) Relevant qualification/certificate, Safety passport/CSCS, SSE Authorisations an advantage, Substation experience. Harness trained, Slinger Signaller, Telehandler, banksman, MEWP/IPAF
- Duration of placement (start and end date) – 06/01/21 – 28/02/21
- Salary – £22.71 Hourly
- Expenses (yes or no) - No
- Driver requirement – Yes – operation of site based plant, telehandler and MEWP vehicles
- PPE requirement – PPE required, safety helmet, safety glasses, safety boots (no rigger boots), safety gloves, hi-vis overall or hi-vis jacket/trouser combination (Fire/arc retardant preferred)
