 Piping Designer – HPC Power Station
📍 Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC), Somerset
💰 Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (DOE)
🕓 Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

 About the Role:
We’re seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our growing engineering team supporting the Hinkley Point C power station project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure projects while developing your career within a high-performing, technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and update 2D and 3D piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to develop high-quality design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct clash detection and design reviews within 3D model environments.
  • Support site coordination, design changes, and documentation control as required.
About You:
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in piping design, ideally within power generation, nuclear, or large industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of Eurocodes and design standards (flexibility on depth of experience here).
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D design tools – experience with AVEVA E3D preferred, but candidates with other CAD software (e.g. PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant, etc.) will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
