NRL are currently recruiting a Project Engineer for a Rail based project in York.

Start Date: 19/09/2022
Duration: 6 months

Location: York - works to be undertaken within alliance offices at York, Leeds and Manchester, you will therefore be expected to travel in line with business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for technical excellence, quality, consistency and on time delivery for your responsibility area.
  • Ensure relevant Training, Development and Competence Management in your responsibility area is up to date.
  • Ensure resource management systems are kept up to date including timesheets and holiday bookings.
  • Provide day to day support of TRU LV D&P and M&E assurance PE Team.
  • To develop a culture of technical excellence and drive a right first-time culture
  • Drive the development and innovation of our technical solutions for our clients, to meet their greatest challenges.
  • Interface and Coordinate with client Asset Engineers and Managers to ensure TRU proposals align with N&E Route requirements.
  • Ensure produced designs are compliant with client Standards, N&E Route Requirements, TRU Requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Implement the requirements of the duties of a Project Engineer.

Essential
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in people management and coaching.
  • Degree/HNC or relevant experience relative to LV Distribution & Plant and Mechanical & Electrical systems.
D&P
  • LV distribution systems
  • All aspects of Signalling power supply systems and architectures
  • Points heating installations
  • Junction Lighting installations
  • Earthing and Bonding
  • Recognised expert in Railway LV D&P Systems.
M&E Building Services
Relevant experience of:
  • LV distribution systems
  • Station M&E installations, including, station area lighting, car park lighting, station earthing, HVAC, vehicle charging, etc.
  • Equipment Building (TSC, PSP, REB) M&E building services including HVAC
  • Depot MEP systems for CET, Yard lighting, water systems, accommodation, and equipment buildings, etc.
  • Recognised expert in Railway M&E Systems.
Rate of Pay: Desired rate to be submitted alongside application
Payment Option: UMB or PAYE

Working Hours: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
