NRL are looking to recruit a Principal Safety Engineer to join the team on an industry leader in the nuclear industry on an initial 6-month contract. The role will be based out of Devonport Royal Dockyard.
About the role:
A significant programme of infrastructure investment is required on the Devonport site to meet the needs of the future MOD ship and submarine programmes. A ‘Major Infrastructure Projects’ (MIP) Business Unit has been established to focus on the significant facility developments and the Lead Engineering team are seeking an experienced Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) specialist to support policy, strategy and governance of safety cases produced in support of the new infrastructure.
What you will need:
An excellent understanding of industry standards and expectations for probabilistic assessments and the appropriate success criteria
Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice and principles as relevant to major nuclear infrastructure projects
Experience in complex PSA planning, implementation and support through regulatory approvals
