The Role:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for the Procurement of Spares, Services and/or Repair of items, enabling material availability through timely and effective sourcing to contract in accordance with Public Contracts Regulations (where applicable), delivering a high performing supply chain in terms of value for money and supply chain performance. The Procurement Officer shall develop appropriate working relationships with suppliers and ensure effective supplier and contract management.
The role is based around letting Contracts, and tendering processes, rather than Operational Procurement (i.e. placing Purchase Orders/expediting), so experience in this area is required.
You will need:
- Previous experience on tendering projects
- Ideally you will have worked to OJEU / PCR 2015, but this is not essential if you are able to demonstrate your tendering process knowledge and experience, and a willingness to familiarise yourself with OJEU.
