NRL is seeking highly experienced Safety Case Engineer(s) to be part of an exciting new project facility based in Cumbria.

What you will need: 


  • At least 5 years+ experience within Safety Case Engineering.
  • Industry Background in Nuclear, Defence or MOD is preferred
  • Fully adverse with the principles of Safety Cases and Nuclear Engineering.
  • Safety Case reviews
  • Knowledge of Post Operational Clean Out (POCO)
  • Define & review of POCO sequences and tasks
  • Provide support through the safety case approval processes
  • Assist in the implementation & development of “Improvement Plans”
  • To contribute to a positive team working environment with a questioning attitude to safety case matters.  Be highly proactive, adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Must be a natural driven forward thinking professional with an ability to problem solve to ensure robust safety deliveries are achieved.
  • Desired;
  • Previous experience of Sellafield and the Long Term periodic Review Period would be beneficial (but not essential).
  • Knowledge of the Safety Case Index.
  • SC Security Clearance (if no clearance held must be will to go through clearance process)
