NRL are currently recruiting for a Secondary Facilities Design Manager to work remotely with Devonport as a base site.  This position will play a key design lead role in the support of new submarine facilities at Devonport.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing multiple technical design packages and associated teams

  • Interfacing with the primary design teams to provide secondary facilities services, systems, and infrastructure.

  • Supporting development of published user requirements by translating them into candidate stem requirements for the start up phase (and beyond) of the project.

  • Planning for effective project implementation and ensuring that design documentation covers the required scope of operations and as produced to the agreed standards, schedule and budget.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline

  • Chartered Engineer status (preferred)

  • Experience of the design support to construction and operation of conventional and nuclear facilities
