NRL are recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer to manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities for one of our large clients in Birchwood Park. The role will be an initial 12-month contract offering a competitive rate (inside IR35) and will be a 50:50 split between office and home working.

About the role:
  • Resolving high complexity engineering problems
  • Providing help and direction for less experienced team members
  • Act as Technical Authority of Engineering Lead when required
  • Assist in management of customer
  • Contribute to Project Safety Assessment process
  • Developing proposals for investigations/solutions
What you will need:

Essential:
  • Engineering degree (or similar qualifications) in relevant discipline
  • Chartered Engineering status (or working towards)
  • Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams
  • Experience covering a variety of tasks in complex situations
  • Mechanical Engineering experience e.g.: manual handling, material handling and machinery design
  • Good communication skills
Desirable:
  • Member of relevant institute
  • In depth experience in a range of commercial or defence projects
  • Civil Nuclear Experience
  • Awareness of CDM regulations
