Design Pipework. Support Critical Infrastructure.

NRL are recruiting for multiple Piping Designers to support the delivery of piped services on a major nuclear project. With roles available in Warrington, Stockton, or Westlakes, this is a 12-month initial contract (inside IR35) – ideal for experienced designers ready to make an impact in a regulated environment.

This is your chance to:
  • Design installable layouts for compressed air, water, LP steam, and condensate systems
  • Produce isometrics, general arrangements, and ensure safe, maintainable designs
  • Work within an integrated design team and interface across disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant specifications, guides, and procedures
  • Check and review design deliverables from others
Your Role:
We’re hiring for proactive designers who can:
  • Deliver piping design packages to project milestones
  • Work closely with facility teams and project functions
  • Operate confidently in a highly regulated environment
  • Communicate effectively and contribute to a collaborative team culture
You’ll need to bring:
  • Experience in piping design within nuclear or petrochemical sectors (other highly regulated industries will be considered)
  • Strong knowledge of UK statutory regulations and design standards
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling tools (REVIT, E3D or similar)
  • Competence in Navisworks Freedom and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to gain SC clearance
  • HNC qualification (minimum)
