Senior Process Engineer — Inital 6‑Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: Liverpool Docks

Drive process design. Lead engineering delivery. Shape major project outcomes.

We’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer who can step straight into a fast‑moving project environment and take ownership of process design from concept through execution. You’ll be the person approving P&IDs, leading calculations, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring the technical integrity of the process scope.

This is hands‑on, high‑impact engineering — perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being the go‑to specialist for process decisions.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading process design activities across PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances and equipment sizing
  • Supervising process engineers and managing man‑hours, deliverables and schedule
  • Owning key process deliverables and ensuring compliance, accuracy and quality
  • Working closely with multidiscipline teams to keep the project aligned and moving
  • Bringing strong technical judgement to design reviews, calculations and client discussions
What you’ll bring
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Strong design experience across FEED and detailed design
  • Confidence producing, reviewing and approving core process deliverables
  • Experience in hydraulic calculations, relief systems, and equipment specifications
  • Ability to guide engineers, work collaboratively and communicate clearly
