About the job
- Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of a large-scale site
- Manage project scope and mitigate risk across projects
- Attend Health and Safety meetings with site team and subcontractors
- Ensure that everyone on site is working in accordance with the Health & Safety policy and procedures
- Ensure that all required materials are identified and ordered in a timely fashion in line with the program
- Take the lead in ensuring the effective management of performance and budgets, ensuring they are well-coordinated and runs in accordance with the agreed contract program
- Manage a direct labour workforce
- Manage all sub-contractors
- Work with and manage the site management team
- Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
- Significant experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge of trades
- Background in residential construction
- Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
- An ability to work as part of a team and lead one
