NRL’s client based in Grangemouth is looking to recruit a Technical Clerk for an initial 12 month contract.
As the Technical Clerk, you will be required for Completions / Commissioning and Factory Drawing office within the projects organisation of the Refinery, including ad hoc Asset Requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Technical Clerk support for 1 -50 projects including Turnarounds

  • Managing departments KPI¿s and issuing out monthly reports using multiple software packages

  • Managing Maximo population for Projects and Ad hoc requests for Asset, ensuring Delivery in a timely manner under Project Plans

  • Managing PIR_ FDO Alfresco & being consumer of up to 4 Alfresco sites

Key Accountabilities:

  • Populating and indexing newly allocated drawing numbers in Alfresco and managing drawings register

  • Upload drawings and documents to various Alfresco Site

  • Handling FDO drawing print service as required

  • Allocate and input new tag nos to Maximo, update Maximo details by interpreting data sheets or designer attribute sheets within Project timescales

  • Update basic project and site drawings using AutoCAD eg: borders, revisions, plot plans and similar

  • Managing Drawing Numbers / Cable Numbers and Junction box numbers

  • Production of technical reports for Completions / Refinery Plant Modification / Commissioning & FDO

  • Support Completions Engineers with collation of punch lists, red line drawing and certification & KPIs

  • Ensuring all project documents are managed in line with procedures

  • Maintaining project correspondence & project files

  • Support Nominated Engineer / Completion Engineer with Plant Modification cat A document collation and progression of sign offs

  • Managing Departments Shared Mail Box

  • Covering Holiday requirements for Refinery Technical Clerk

What you will need?

  • Interface with all Project Teams at various levels in the organisation

  • Ability to understand engineering terminology across all disciplines

  • Proactive, resourceful, ability to work on own and as part of a team, positive attitude, ability to influence, flexible approach to work and good communication skills

  • Basic AutoCAD experience

  • Strong IT Skills

  • Comfortable in working with large amounts of data

  • Experience working with systems such as Alfresco, Maximo and linked software (eg SAP, Businesses Objects)
