About the Role:
- Providing regular Event Network Status Reports to fully trained Operators
- Answering phones, chasing updates from other control rooms and editing text on the website
- Analysing our Journey Time Systems to highlight any traffic issues throughout the network
- Providing traffic count data analysis to indicate changes in traffic volumes across key routes
- Monitoring CCTV to support the control room in identifying incidents
- Monitoring of social media systems to automatically identify trends/issues across social media platforms and news outlets
- Monitoring and updating Transport Scotland’s integrated incident management system for updates and actions to be performed
- Ensuring public facing content is up to date, informative and accurate across Traffic Scotland website, Traffic Scotland Radio and social media
- Liaising with maintenance colleagues to report any defects with Traffic Scotland Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) equipment
- Must be available to work shifts (Will be alternating between Dayshift and Nightshift on a 4 on 4 off basis)
- Must be Computer Literate
- Must be able to use Social media, Google Maps, etc.
- Being able to Multitask
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
