An industry leading infrastructure services and engineering company are looking to recruit 6 Waste Operatives to their team in Cambridge on a contract basis.

About the role:
  • To work in a small team over a two-shift rotation to continuously monitor the processing of household waste at Waterbeach.
  • Plant cleaning & pressure washing to maintain site cleanliness
  • Completing maintenance checks on various pieces of Plant Equipment., through a digital tablet Maintenance Management System & carrying out the work to which they are allocated to the required standards, including avoiding risks to the environment
  • Working at all times in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe working methods, taking into account site hazards on the day, and using the appropriate supplied safety clothing.
  • Reporting of all incidents, close calls, any unsafe acts or unsafe situations seen on site to Line Manager
  • To make adjustments to the Compost turning equipment to ensure efficient turning sequences & to react to blockages either via prevention or cleaning

We are looking for motivated & energetic individuals to join us at our Waterbeach site, full training will be provided for this role, with further exciting opportunities for completing training within other elements of the business from Mobile Plant driver Operatives to Confined Space training
