 Welding QC Inspector – Carbon Capture Project (BP NEP / NZT)

Site-based | Full-time – based in Teesside | Outside IR35 | Contract until end of January | 6 days/week

Are you an experienced Welding QC Inspector ready to contribute to a high-profile Carbon Capture project? Join our client's team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of welding quality and compliance on the BP NEP / NZT project based in Teesside.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Quality Control Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for field welding inspections, ensuring all welding operations meet relevant standards and QC procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site
  • Verify welding parameters, consumables, WPS/PQRs, and welder qualifications
  • Monitor pre-heating, heat treatment, bevels, and welding repairs
  • Issue Quality Records and Non-Conformance Reports
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all inspections and tests
  • Oversee subcontractor compliance with approved QC/ITPs
  • Support the compilation of the final As-Built dossier
 What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: 5+ years in Welding QC Inspection within Oil & Gas or similar industries
  • Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or equivalent
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of welding inspection and quality control procedures
