Glenrothes
Glenrothes is a town and parish in the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland. It has a population of more than 35,000 people. It is located on the River Leven at its junction with the Forth and Clyde Canal at Leuchars. Glenrothes is best known for Glenrothes Castle, which was built in the late 1540s. There are beautiful walks through the surrounding countryside, historic landmarks like Cardrona Church and many more attractions.
The engineering sector in Glenrothes has grown significantly over the last few years. With the rise in globalisation and local companies expanding their production capacity. Engineering at The University of St Andrews is one of the strongest in the world, with disciplines specialising in broad and interdisciplinary fields.
The town has a bus station and a railway station, there are plenty of trains connecting to Edinburgh, taking around 50 minutes. You can also get trains to Glasgow Central and Dundee.
