Outside IR35 - Barge Operator (Offshore) 
Location: NEO GP3 

Contract Type: Approx 2 months - 2/3 rotation 

Are you ready to play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient marine operations? We are seeking a Barge Operator to join our client's offshore team and contribute to world-class performance in safety, integrity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Safety Leadership: Demonstrate strong understanding of process safety and major accident hazard management to influence business decisions.
  • Safety Commitment: Drive incident-free operations and foster a culture of respect for health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Participate as part of the Barge Master’s team to achieve performance targets.
    • Manage loading, storage, and discharge of oil cargo.
    • Oversee ballasting, trim, and vessel stability.
    • Conduct COW, tank cleaning, and gas freeing for entry.
    • Execute mooring/unmooring of shuttle tankers.
    • Maintain vessel systems power management and station keeping.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Maintain marine and aviation radio watch.
    • Coordinate in-field operations involving shuttle tankers, support vessels, and helicopters.
  • Maintenance & Compliance:
    • Assist with inspection and upkeep of lifesaving appliances and firefighting equipment.
    • Perform first-line maintenance on marine systems and isolation for maintenance.
    • Ensure accurate records of marine operations, vessel, and aircraft movements.
  • Emergency Response: Execute duties as per station bill and emergency response procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Build strong relationships across departments and shifts to minimize operational disruption.

  • Strong decision-making skills aligned with delegated authority.
  • Commitment to competence assurance and willingness to undertake training.
  • Ability to maintain CCR watch and ensure safe, efficient marine system operations.
