The NRL Group are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a large constuction project carrying out the responsibility for overseeing contracts, budgets and supplier relationships to ensure the project’s financial and commercial success within a highly regulated nuclear construction environment.
What will the role consist of?
- Contract Management: Oversee contracts of high value including tendering, negotiation, and administration.
- Cost Control & Forecasting: Monitor budgets, manage cost reports, and ensure financial targets are met across logistics, marine operations, and critical delivery packages.
- Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to protect project value.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure alignment on commercial objectives.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to commercial governance, procurement policies, and regulatory standards.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on commercial performance, risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Support and mentor junior commercial staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, Law, or related field.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or nuclear projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and UK procurement law.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
