Role- Completions & Handover Support Engineer

Location- Bristol

Salary- £55,000-£65,000 per annum

Role & Responsibilities:

 

NRL is currently recruiting a Completions & Handover Support Engineer to join one of our leading clients in their Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing project team within a critical sector, supporting the delivery of complex engineering works on a key site within the UK’s nuclear fleet.
You’ll work within a highly regulated environment and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient execution of engineering projects. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals and offered development opportunities to grow your project delivery and leadership skills in a respected, forward-thinking organisation.

 

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing the System Handover process for all systems at the HPC Nuclear Power Station
  • Monitoring and driving Quality Record reporting / evidence form Contract Partners
  • Being part of a review group Reviewing end of Erection Status Reports (EESR)
  • Working within the Installation Handover Manager to Coordinate system walkdowns to ensure completeness
  • Part of coordination of Open point category agreement and dispute resolution process
  • Liaising with Configuration Management Team to ensure correct config. Ahead of handover.
  • Tracking Handover Schedules and ensuring latest dates are fed into the weekly OCC meeting
  • Inputting and maintaining system Handover procedures, guidelines and work instructions
 

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated as a ‘people person’ comfortable with working in a fast paced, complex heavy engineering environment under pressure situations. An ability to form strong relationships in timebound project environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and understanding of leadership and its application in complex projects. Working knowledge of CDM Regulations. Proficient numeracy, analytical and critical reasoning skills. Proficient application of scheduling, programming, risk and planning tools. Well-developed IT and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated project experience in: In-field walkdown execution with Multi-discipline Installation teams, possess a grounded understanding of various discipline work scopes.
  • Working knowledge and significant experience of Completions and handover strategies and processes. Successful experience in working with multi-level stakeholder contractors in a regulated environment. Experience working with NEC and DMIC/FIDIC type commercial contracts.
  • Desirable:-
  • Must hold a Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or other recognised qualification. A Degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction or related field is desirable but not essential.
