Purpose: Monitor and control solar PV plant operations using SCADA to ensure optimal performance, grid-code compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor PV equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear) via SCADA.
Track generation, availability and performance ratio; investigate underperformance.
Recognise alarms/events and execute approved corrective actions.
Maintain shift logs and deliver clear handovers.
Coordinate Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) for maintenance activities.
Collaborate with field technicians and support HSE compliance and environmental monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
3–5 years’ control room operations experience in utility-scale solar.
Hands-on knowledge of SCADA/DCS/PLC systems and electrical safety.
Strong fault diagnosis, communication and documentation skills.
