Purpose: Operate, monitor and carry out routine checks on HV substations and transmission lines to ensure reliable, uninterrupted power flow.
Key Responsibilities
Execute switching operations under PTW and LOTO systems.
Monitor voltage, current, load and alarms; escalate abnormalities.
Conduct substation and line inspections; identify issues (leaks, overheating, noise, corrosion, vegetation).
Support relay/SCADA testing and communication systems.
Perform basic maintenance and raise work requests.
Maintain logs and contribute to safe shift handovers.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
3–5 years’ experience in transmission operations/control-room support.
Knowledge of HV equipment, SCADA and safe switching procedures.
Strong attention to detail and HSE compliance.
