Job Title: Gate Man & Site Assistant

Location: Three Legged Cross, Dorset

Project: Substation Expansion Project

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Gate Man & Site Assistant to join our clients team on a substation expansion project. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining site safety, security, and cleanliness, as well as assisting with general day-to-day site operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and monitor access to the main site gate, ensuring all visitors and deliveries are logged and directed appropriately.

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the site entrance.

  • Carry out general site housekeeping duties to ensure the site remains clean, tidy, and safe.

  • Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of site areas, including walkways, welfare facilities, and storage areas.

  • Support site management and operatives with ad-hoc tasks as required.

  • Report any site issues, safety concerns, or unauthorised access to the Site Manager promptly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (Gate Man / Site Assistant / Labourer) preferred but not essential.

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with good communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • CSCS OR CCNSG card (or willingness to obtain).

  • National Grid Competent Persons NSi 6 & 8 Full


Working hours - 50 p/week

Duration - 6 month rolling contract
