Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for own EH&S accountability whilst on the Didcot and its satellites.
- Compliance with the site basic safety process (BSP), including but not limited to
- Safety Meetings
- Risk Assessments
- Critical Systems Audits
- Task Safety Observations
- Housekeeping
- Safety inspections
- Accident Preventative Techniques (APT’s)
- Compliance with site emergency plan, act as muster point controller when requested to do so by the emergency controller.
- Ensuring compliance with site visitor induction procedures
- Responsible for site security and safety when on-site locally and on satellite plants, including application of lone working procedures, and in liaison with the OSC
- Compliance with legal operating permits via compliance with local SWIM’s
- Communication and information of site EH&S matters to both the Didcot team and the OSC when required
- Maintain excellent housekeeping across the whole facility.
- Carry out general maintenance as required across the site.
- Work alongside Plant Supervisors as required and assist major on-site plant start/stops when requested
- On-site customer liaison & communications for satellite plants when required.
- Ensure that all production facilities are maintained to a safe and serviceable condition, so that they can consistently attain their performance targets
- Ensure compliance to site statutory, mechanical integrity & preventative maintenance programmes.
- Carry out preventative maintenance activities as defined by the GD work duties schedule in a timely manner.
- Support corrective maintenance work associated with plant and equipment failures (breakdowns).
- Work with the Plant Supervisors to ensure correct spares parts and consumables inventory management.
- Nominally day-shift operations
- Provide call-out assistance as required by the local plant operating team.
- Support on-site team in maintaining sufficient on-site resource by scheduling of holidays accordingly
- Maintain own training in compliance with our client’s legal and local requirements
- Participate in team meetings (EH&S and Communications) as required
- Maintain effective communications with both the local and OSC (when required) operating team colleagues
- Good interpersonal & team working skills (Across the AP teams on sites, Customers, Regulators bodies, OSC operators).
- Self motivated and pro-active.
- To be able to work alone when required by on-call/shifts.
