NRL’s Engineering client based in Renfrew is looking to recruit a Equipment Technician to join them on a permanent staff basis.

Job Description

Principal Duties:

  • Support the management, maintenance and future development of Operations equipment 

  • Maintain the Electronic Equipment Management system

  • Ensure that the permits for equipment storage is correctly maintained and all permit conditions are met at all times.

  • Prepare Remote Ops equipment according to specification for use sites,

  • Arrange shipment and logistics to and from sites.

  • Undertake or arrange maintenance and repair of faulty equipment.

  • Compiling and auditing technical documents and reports.

  • The role is mainly based at our client's Renfrew facility, but will require occasional site deployment, across the UK (including some extended outage deployment), and occasional international travel.

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Qualified to HNC or higher, or min. 5 years experience working on industrial sites in a technical or mechanical role.

  • Experience or qualification in electrical, electronic or C&I engineering.

  • PAT testing qualification desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent IT skills. Experience in asset management software, script/macro writing, advanced Excel skills are desirable.

  • Full UK Driving license is beneficial.

  • Excellent attention to detail and procedural awareness. Prioritising workload and  managing multiple workstreams.

  • Maintain appropriate communications with clients, peers, other experts, management and stakeholders.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to compile, review and audit technical documents, procedures and reports.

  • Excellent health and safety record and a commitment to ensuring everyone in the workplace works to the highest QHSE standards.

  • Excellent capability to coach and develop junior technicians to a high standard of expertise.

  • Willingness to travel and flexible work hours, including occasional shift and weekend work (overtime payments available).
