On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are looking for an Electrical Technician for work off shore.
Duration: From 17th December for 21 days

Core Responsibilities
Execute maintenance, inspection, and repair activities for electrical plant and systems onboard offshore facilities, under the guidance of the Responsible Electrical Person (RPE) and Electrical Supervisor
Perform planned, corrective, and preventive maintenance on HV/LV switchgear, generators, transformers, UPS systems, batteries, motors, and Ex-rated equipment
Support and execute safe electrical isolations, re-energization, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) practices
Carry out fault-finding using standard test equipment (e.g., meggers, AV meters) on HV and LV circuits
Maintain accurate equipment logs and CMMS/SAP records; assist with maintenance planning and spare parts requisition
Report defects, drive resolution plans, and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and system integrity
Uphold high housekeeping standards in electrical enclosures and ensure compliance with IMS and international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE)
Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent offshore qualification (e.g., NVQ, COMPEX Industry)
Valid offshore safety certifications and trade-specific endorsement (COMPEX levels 01–04 preferred)
Permit-to-Work training and authorization to perform electrical isolations on offshore installations
Experience
Proven experience (typically 3–6+ years) in electrical maintenance roles within offshore oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environments
Hands-on troubleshooting of high- and low-voltage switchgear, safety-critical systems, and hazardous area (Ex-rated)
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulatory requirements (IEC, IEEE)
Excellent fault diagnosis and technical problem-solving skills
Proficient in use of electrical test instruments and interpretation of results
Effective communicator, able to report issues, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to handover processes
