I am currently seeking an Improvements Programme Manager on a 12-month initial contract, to be based in Warrington on a hybrid basis. The Improvements Programme Manager is a senior role focused on delivering efficiencies within, and improving the effectiveness of, SMPrO.                            

The Improvements Programme Manager will effectively organise, plan, coordinate, deliver and report business improvements across SMPrO. The role has a strategic focus in terms of being the integrator, influencer, and leader of the improvements programme, as well as a tactical focus in terms of delivery of specific improvement workstreams and programme management of DSA tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver the DSA SMPro Improvement Programme such that agreed benefits and outcomes are realised within agreed timescales and budget.
  • Principal focal point and liaison with Improvement Workstream Leads and Senior Management representatives.
  • Build strong relationships with Leads and act as a “challenging friend” to drive delivery and maintain accountability.
  • Participate and contribute to required monthly project reviews and reporting cycles, covering all aspects of performance.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable business relationships with key stakeholders including Sellafield and partner organisation representatives.
  • Monitor and manage the delivery of improvements work scope to agreed milestones, ensuring maximum efficiency within agreed timescales.
What you will need:
  • HND or degree qualified in technical, engineering and / or business administration related subject
  • Experience of successful development and delivery of business change and / or improvement programmes
  • Proven and demonstrable Project / Programme Management Experience
  • Familiarity with industry recognised P3M3 Maturity Models
  • Proven and effective inter-personal and communication skills at senior leadership level
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages - word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Must be able to obtain BPSS clearance
