NRL are currently recruiting for a Mechanical personnel for a number of requirements based at Birchwood Park in Warrington. Please note these requirements have been deemed inside IR35 & prior nuclear experience is essential. These will be working on a 12 month contract for one of our leading clients within the nuclear industry. 

Principal Mechanical Engineer:
  • The Principal Engineer provides leadership in the delivery of engineering and technical activities through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure effective management of multi discipline teams to ensure timely & efficient delivery of engineering work to meet customer agreed scope
  • Supervise engineers/technical specialists
  • Promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams
  • Ensure effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress
Essential:
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project types
  • Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
Senior Mchanical Engineers (x2):
  • The Senior Engineer manages the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.
  • Promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams
  • Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress
  • Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
Essential:
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
  • Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward Chartered Status)
  • Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
  • Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
  • Good communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
Senior Mechanical Designers (x3):
  • The Senior Designer provides support and technical guidance for a team of multi-disciplined designers. The role will assure the quality of output to the required standards consistent with whole lifecycle from concept to in service support.
  • Allocate discipline tasks to allocated team of Designers, check team drawing outputs, and ensure inter discipline coordination in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Promote effective co-operation across Design and other functional teams
  • Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress
  • Advise and assist in selecting the correct methods and tools for tasks and provide technical assistance to allocated team of Designers
  • Contribute to the preparation/production of drawings in support of basic, detail and production design in line with recognised ISO standards and to the required; time, cost and quality requirements.
Essential:
  • HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline OR equivalent academic qualification
  • Experience in a detailed design environment
  • Good knowledge of CAD tools
  • Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice
  • Incorporated Engineer status
  • ICF (Integrated Competency Framework) to be demonstrated or being worked towards.
  • Demonstrable experience in technical leading of a multi-disciplined design team
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
