For its offshore O&M organisation based from the Port of Tyne we are seeking to expand our team with an Offshore Maintenance Leader focusing towards Scheduled Maintenance.

The Offshore Maintenance Leader will be a line manager to an offshore maintenance shift consisting initially of technicians and later also including shift supervisors, and coordinators; and acting as main points of contact towards the onshore organisation. The successful candidates will be based from the O&M Base in the Port of Tyne in the Newcastle area, working offshore on a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation on one of the state-of-the art Service Operation Vessels deployed on Dogger Bank.


We are seeking candidates with long term commitment to play a key role in ensuring continuity of knowledge from construction and operational setup into operations.
Duties will include

Initial project execution phase:

  • Prepare for and recruit the maintenance team comprising various multi-skilled technicians.

  • Support O&M governance and management system validity and roll out process.

  • Contribute to competence profile strategy for technicians.

Operations phase:

  • Responsible for execution of all activities across all sites, performed by contractors and/or internal personnel. Day to day interface and focal point towards onshore organisation and offshore management interaction with contractors.

  • Line manager of an offshore maintenance shift while always ensuring safe and maximised production at site.

  • Follow up the SOV operator offshore on behalf of the company rep for the vessel contract.

  • Develop and drive maintenance requirements based on analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with management system processes and requirements. Assist in production of site reports for both internal & external customers.

  • Prepared to be part of an on-call rotation (operations, emergency response) for the windfarms.

  • Degree or HND in technical discipline or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.

  • Significant operation and maintenance knowledge and experience from offshore wind farms.

  • Experience with supporting and leading a diverse and dynamic team.

  • Be or become authorised as a Senior Authorised Person.

  • Must be prepared to undertake offshore medical, HUET and GWO training.

  • Fluent in English, proficient oral and written communications skills; with ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and support functions.

  • Hands-on and proactive with a creative approach to problem solving

  • Can support and lead a diverse and dynamic team
