NRL are working with a leading Teesside based business who now require a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideally with a Civils background.
You will be responsible for procuring a range of goods, materials and services to ensure operational needs are met
Taking into account price, quality, availability and delivery, you will take responsibility for purchasing strategy, policy and processes. You will either oversee a team and a budget or an entire vehicle build platform (depending on your area of expertise).
Additionally, you will contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
You must have
Proven experience in a purchasing management role
Contract management and supplier experience
Project management experience
Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes and components and supply chain management
Computer literate, especially Excel skills
Membership of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree, or an HND, BTec Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications
