NRL are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to work on a staff basis with one of our leading defence clients. To be responsible for finding and approaching stakeholders within the business, understanding their requirements and managing the supply chain to meet these needs. Please note that there is remote, hybrid working available, with 2 days a week site presence. 

About The Role:
The Infrastructure & Services Procurement team is about to embark on a transformation programme with the inception of a new framework contract targeting ~£130M of spend over the next 5 years, focusing on predominantly construction and infrastructure projects. To support this programme the team is looking to expand its capability with the addition of a Strategic Programme Procurement Specialist. 

What will you be doing?
You’ll be required to network within the business to identify the correct stakeholders and budget holders and be responsible for managing stakeholders, ensuring they’re meeting needs with specified timeframes and to budget.

What You Will Need:

  • MCIPS or equivalent qualification (or working towards)

  • Proven ability to negotiate with and manage subcontractors, including excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management

  • A highly experienced procurement/commercial practitioner 

  • NEC contract experience desirable but not essential

  • Experiencing of managing supply chain within a transformation project preferable

  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
