NRL are currently recruiting for a Section/Senior Engineer to support an international engineering and construction company on a National Grid substation project based in Wimbledon.
Responsibility
Take a lead role on the installation of a new transformer to National Grid Specification whilst liaising with major international suppliers like Mott McDonald design, General Electric Primary Switchgear, Siemens Protection and control systems and Suedkabel HV Cable system all under the delivery model.
Other activities include; Piling; contaminated ground; poor ground conditions; digital modeling; temporary works; reinforced concrete; precast concrete; HSG47; Gas insulated busbars; Commissioning; Service diversion; HV cable installation; HV testing; Transformer installation.
Experience
Essential
Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator
Degree or equivalent in civil or structural engineering
Desirable
Desirable previous experience on National Grid project
Desirable Appointed Person For Lifting
