Role Overview:
The Turnover Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the turnover process of systems and equipment from construction to commissioning and ultimately to the client. This role ensures all documentation, quality checks, and compliance requirements are met for a smooth handover of completed works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain turnover plans and schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and quality teams to ensure readiness for system handover.
- Prepare and manage system turnover packages, including drawings, test records, and certifications.
- Track and report progress of turnover activities, highlighting risks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with clients during inspections and acceptance processes.
- Support the resolution of punch list items and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain accurate documentation in project management systems.
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in system turnover, commissioning, or QA/QC within large-scale projects (e.g., data centers, oil & gas, infrastructure).
- Strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools; experience with turnover software is a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
