NRL are currently recruiting for a Maintenance / Technical Coordinator for work with an industrial gases company in Worcester on a 3 month contract basis.

To provide technical authority and guidance when receiving and processing as required active work orders to be actioned as part of the company’s business process within the customer engineering maintenance department. Ensuring that all legally required planned maintenance activities are carried out within the required timeframe. To provide technical assistance to other company departments as and when required. To provide telephone support to customers on a wide array of equipment to diagnose and quickly rectify any issues that the customer has that may affect his production. To plan the daily workload for 12 technicians ensuring that the correct technician is sent to site with correct materials and information to complete the activity that has to be pre-booked and arranged with the customer.

 

About the role:
  • To be responsible for and process all valid work orders at the relevant status, which involves planned and unplanned maintenance activities ensuring that latest completion dates are adhered to.
  • To technically check and assign appropriate parts and appropriate labour to ensure the required onsite work is carried out safely and efficiently
  • To provide front line customer technical support on the telephone on applications equipment (Generators, food tunnels, Medical panels). To provide technical guidance to the customer services team as and when required.
  • To diagnose faults on a wide variety of equipment (tanks, PCM’s, PTCM’s, GGG plants, hydrogen systems, food tunnels, telemetry etc) using third hand information and then ensure that the relevant equipment, parts and labour are arranged to resolve the issue.
  • To provide support to the various gas generator sites using customer site feedback and telemetry readings
  • To monitor and respond immediately to any alarm raised on a medical oxygen panel
  • To create and process through the various stages an SAP service order to carry out any required onsite activity
  • To select the appropriate labour and equipment required to remove company owned assets from customer sites.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of SAP to enable the correct person and equipment is sent to where required. Using the skills matrix and job ID’s where required.
  • To liaise with customers and provide the technicians that carry out the planned visits with all of the required documentation and parts to ensure that we comply with the legal PSSR requirements.
  • To plan where and when a technician will attend a customers site for and legal and non legal inspections within the time permitted and to resolve any fault on a customers system within the agreed SLA
  • To liaise with contractors to carry out all required onsite planned maintenance and unplanned work on all industrial gases customer site installed equipment.
  • To quote customers for onsite activities if contract allow it
  • To report any shortcomings with respect to HSE to a relevant manager Manager.
  • To raise purchase requisitions as and when required to order in non stock or service products to enable the completion of a service order.
  • To be responsible for the health, safety, welfare and training of all relevant staff. To ensure that your acts or omissions do not create unacceptable safety and health risks to yourself or other persons. To report any shortcomings in the company’s safety control measures.
  • To carry out any other reasonable task as requested by an appropriate authority.
